AD – This was a gifted meal, however, all views are my own

Last month, Rhys and I went along to Cock ‘n’ Bull Co. in Mere Green to try out their Christmas menu. Surprisingly, we had never stepped foot in here until the Christmas Showcase, despite living and working so close-by and drooling over photos of their food online. Cock ‘n’ Bull Co. are renowned for their burgers here in the West Midlands, and if you’ve seen them on Instagram, you’ll know why.

From the outside, it looks like a really interesting eatery, however, it does look small. We were surprised when we went in for the first time to find out it’s actually quite big inside and even has an upstairs section overlooking the bar.

The Christmas Showcase was held to try out their ‘Chrimbo’ menu and it did not disappoint. We were brought the ‘Sleigh Fulla Fun’, which is a selection of their grazing section of the main menu for £15pp for a group of 6 or more. This included buttermilk fried chicken, cherry cola brisket bites, halloumi fries, nachos, pigs in blankets, slaw, mango salad and bottomless fries. I loved the buttermilk fried chicken and pigs in blankets, as well as the mango, watermelon and chilli salad as it was something a bit different! Rhys enjoyed the halloumi fries and cherry cola brisket bites so much that I barely got a look in.

All of the food on offer with the ‘Sleigh Fulla Fun’ looked so good and tasted delicious.

We then got to try the two Chrimbo burgers, Rhys ordered The Santa Special and I ordered Jingle Those Bells. The Santa Special is just a massive Christmas dinner burger, with beef patties, watercress, beef brisket, roasted red onion, maple glazed carrots, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets and beef gravy and is served with potatoes. Jingle Those Bells is the chicken offering, with buttermilk fried chicken, brie, chipolata, lettuce, cranberry sauce and is served with fries.

The portion sizes are absolutely huge which means they’re such great value for money, we definitely didn’t have room for dessert after eating all of this delicious food!

If you’re near Mere Green or Stourbridge around the Christmas period, definitely check Cock ‘n’ Bull Co’s Chrimbo menu out, it’s definitely worth a try. We visited Cock ‘n’ Bull again at the end of October to try out some of their regular menu offerings, so expect to see a post about that soon!
