Travel Beauty Essentials

When heading off on holiday, I have a huge bag of toiletries and makeup that probably takes up half of my luggage allowance. Even though everything in that bag is technically essential to me, the things in this post are my absolute essentials that I need on holiday to keep me sane (and moisturised).

Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-replenishing Hydrator

This Clinique moisturiser is the most hydrating, incredible moisturiser I’ve ever used, so I know it’ll be perfect in a different climate after a long haul flight. This is coming on the plane with me so that I can rehydrate my skin throughout the flight if needed, although it does claim 72-hour hydration – I’ll have to let you know if that’s true!

Nivea Lip Care Sun Protect SPF 30

Something a lot of people probably don’t think about packing for a summer holiday is SPF for your lips. I couldn’t imagine how painful it would be to burn my lips, so throughout the day on holiday I’m applying this to protect them from the sun. Nivea lip balms also make my lips feel really soft, therefore making a great base for putting my lipstick on in the evening.

L’Oreal Paris Paradise Extatic Waterproof Mascara

This is the best waterproof drugstore mascara I’ve used, it actually stays on and will be perfect for those hot climates! I don’t really wear make up in the day but if I wanted to, this would survive the pool. It keeps my lashes voluminous and curled, and it’s ultra black which is exactly what I look for in a mascara.

Aftersun

Aftersun is an absolute essential after a day in the sun, it helps maintain the tan you might be getting and soothes your skin. I personally like to pop mine in the fridge and apply it after my evening shower before dinner. The Hawaiian Tropic one smells so nice and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and moisturised.

Vaseline Spray Moisturiser

The Vaseline spray moisturiser is the best moisturiser for me. I can’t stand having to wait for moisturiser to dry, but this I just spray on after my shower, rub in and it absorbs immediately. It leaves my skin feeling soft and looking shiny, which is perfect for those pre-dinner photos!

Gillette Venus Snap Travel Razor

This travel razor is perfect for taking away with you, if you’re like me and want to ensure your armpit and leg hair is practically none existent at all times. It comes in a handy little case, so you won’t ruin anything else that is next to the razor and you can buy spare razor heads for it. What more could you want?
