Last week I headed to Oasis in the Bullring for another event organised by Brum Bloggers, showcasing their new collaboration with the Natural History Museum. I had a sneaky look at the collection online before the event and everything looked stunning. It was even more stunning in person!
We were greeted on arrival with a glass of prosecco and some delicious food from Bill’s Birmingham. I love Bill’s food so that was a great addition to the event! We were introduced to the styling team and the manager of Oasis Bullring who were all lovely.
Danni, one of the personal stylists at Oasis Bullring, helped me style some outfits, pick what I wanted to try on and popped everything into the huuuuge dressing room along with a lovely pair of heels she’d picked out for me. The dressing rooms in Oasis Bullring are absolutely stunning and I’d recommend popping in if you’re in Birmingham.
I tried on the top with the wide leg trousers in pink first of all. This is an outfit I would’ve never picked out usually, but I fell in love with it – it’s definitely worth trying on clothes outside your comfort zone! The second piece I tried on was the lace back shift dress. I fell in love with this dress too, it has a square neckline which is to die for and I’ll definitely be picking up this dress when I can afford it. The last dress I tried on accidentally came with me to the till…this was the frill cami dress. The lovely PR manager & Marketing manager helped me justify my purchase, as I’m off to a christening in August and needed a dress for that.
After trying on the clothes, I then went to see the lovely girls from Smashbox who were also at the event. They very kindly put some of their bestselling Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick on me in Thrill Seeker, a beautiful bright red colour. This actually stayed on until I took my makeup off – even after eating and drinking so I am very impressed. They also booked me in to have one of their ‘Going All Out Tonight’ makeup services in a few weeks, so I’m excited to try that out. I’d like to thank Ting for putting on this amazing event!
