Spring Beauty Picks

in beauty, April 29, 2018

It’s been a while since I’ve done a beauty post, seven months to the day I began writing this to be exact, which is crazy considering I began this blog solely talking about all things beauty. I have barely used any new beauty products in the last two years if I’m honest. I’ve been shopping my own stash (mainly due to a lack of funds from being a student) and from this I’ve selected my ‘spring beauty picks’, which are the products I’ve been using so far this spring.

A long-term firm favourite of mine is the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette that finds its way out every spring. I think the pretty shades with pink undertones look perfect on the lids during springtime. My favourite eye look to create using this palette is Liar all over the lid, Factory in the crease, Trick in the middle of the lid, Buzz on the lower lash line and Dust in the inner corner. As you can probably tell from that eye look, I am all about the shimmer eyeshadows.

Something I am obsessed with getting right with spring beauty is my lip colour. I have a few favourite lip products this spring and they’re all from the same brand. My favourite lip product for everyday is the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in Apricot Shimmer. It’s such a light product to add over the top of lip balm just to add a bit of extra colour to my lips, it feels so nourishing too. My favourite lip combo when I want something more than the lip perfector is Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in Tea Rose and Clarins Lipliner Pencil in Nude Beige. The two products compliment each other perfectly, as well as complimenting the eye look I create with the Naked 3 palette. They are also very long lasting which is a bonus!

My last spring beauty pick is the Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter. It is a bit strong for everyday use but it’s the only highlighter I own, so I don’t really have a choice – I just use a light hand to apply it. It looks stunning, especially when it catches the sunlight – which we haven’t had much of this spring but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that there will be more!
