Wedding Guest Make Up

At the beginning of the month, I attended my boyfriend's brother's wedding. I was rather happy with the make up I did for myself on the day, so I thought I'd do a post all about it. The photos above are of my make up from the day and all of the products I used.

I began with my eyes to prevent mistakes from ruining my base. First I applied Benefit Puff Off eye cream under my eyes and applied Benefit Air Patrol all over my eyelids and up to my eyebrows. I then started on my eyeshadow, using the Naked Smoky palette which is my favourite. I applied 'Radar' all over my eyelid, 'Whiskey' in the crease and popped 'Dirtysweet' in the middle, to brighten up the eyeshadow look. I used my favourite L'Oreal Perfect Slim eyeliner before applying Le Volume De Chanel mascara to my upper lashes.

I then applied my favourite lashes, Ardell Demi Wispies, with Duo Lash Glue and fused them to my own lashes with a coat of Le Volume De Chanel mascara. After doing my base, I applied Le Volume De Chanel mascara to my bottom lashes. For my brows, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Auburn with a MAC 266 brush, finishing them off with L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper gel in Light/Medium.

I started off my base by applying the NARS Illuminator in Copacabana over my cheeks. I then applied Revlon ColorStay foundation in Sand Beige all over my face with a flat foundation brush, it is the perfect foundation for me when I have tan on and it makes my skin look flawless. I then applied Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer under my eyes and Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer around my nose, and blended everything in with my Real Techniques sponge. I finished off my base by applying Bourjois Healthy Balance powder all over my face.

Finishing Touches
My make up would not have been complete without these few finishing touches. First I applied my Clarins Aquatic Treasures bronzer to contour and also add a bit more colour to my face. I then applied my NARS blusher in Isadora, to add a splash of colour to my cheeks, this colour goes perfectly with a tan. Afterwards, I popped Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop highlighter on my cheekbones, under my brows, on my cupids bow and the tip of my nose. To finish off the look, I used my all-time favourite lipstick, which is Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipstick in Bond Girl.

Dressed in Chi Chi London

I feel like I haven't done an outfit post for a very long time, which is definitely the case as it has been about 3 months. I thought I'd use the excuse that I've been to my boyfriend's brother's wedding and bought a whole new outfit to do one. To the wedding I wore this beautiful dress from Chi Chi London, which I bought from ASOS. I knew I was looking for a red dress, it's my favourite colour to wear and I'm told it suits me. The detailed embroidery on Chi Chi London dresses is incredible and part of the reason I think it was a good wedding guest outfit choice.

I decided to keep my accessories to a minimum for the wedding. I wore my Oasis Black Heeled Sandals, which I had bought mainly for maximum comfort due to being at the wedding all day and dancing in the evening. I had an O.P.I. gel pedicure a few days before so my toes were looking nice in my shoes, they were painted with the colour 'Big Apple Red'. For all of my essentials for the day, I used my Vivienne Westwood clutch bag which is the most beautiful bag I own. It also went well with my Vivienne Westwood earrings, watch and ring I wore on the day. I was so excited to go to a wedding because I love dressing up, doing my make-up and hair, and I love weddings in general.

Osteria Rodizio Rico | The Cube, Birmingham

I was invited to the launch of Osteria Rodizio Rico last week, a new all-you-can-eat pizza and pasta restaurant in The Cube in Birmingham. Me and Chloe went along with empty stomachs ready to sample all of the tasty foods on offer. We were greeted at the door with a strawberry bellini, which is one of my favourite cocktails, so we'd got off to a great start.

Not too long after we got there, nibbles were served on the front deck in the form of focaccia, olives, ham and cheese. We all helped ourselves and got into eating, before cheesy garlic bread was brought round which was divine. Rather than a usual all-you-can-eat buffet, mains of pizza and pasta were brought round to our tables at regular intervals, and we got to taste a variety of different flavour combinations. My favourites were definitely the four cheese and pepperoni pizza. We also got to taste bolognese, bacon and vodka pasta and a pizza with lemon on, which was very unusual.

For unlimited pizza and pasta at lunchtime it'll cost you £9.90 and for dinner it'll cost you £14.90, which is such a reasonable price for the quality of food served and the amount you can eat. The delicious bellinis are priced at £9 a glass. Osteria Rodizio Rico is in such a central location in Birmingham that it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking to eat some authentic tasting Italian food.

Thank you to 8848 agency for the complimentary press invite and for Osteria Rodizio Rico for having us!

2017 Films | April - June

Between April and June there weren't many films out in the cinema that I wanted to see. However, the two films I have seen in this time were incredible and definitely worth the watch. Both were 'superhero movies', which is one of my favourite genres, one coming from Marvel and the other from DC.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2
The first Guardians of the Galaxy film is definitely one of my favourite films of all time, everything about it I love, including the soundtrack, the humour and Groot. Because of how amazing the first film was, I was nervous to see the sequel because I didn't know whether it'd be as amazing as the first one. I'd say it wasn't quite as amazing as the first film, but it was still incredible and I loved it so much. I would definitely watch this film over and over again.

Wonder Woman
I LOVED this film so much, it kept my interest for the whole time which is difficult with my short attention span, and I thought it was unbelievable. This has definitely got to be up there as one of my favourite DC films and there were points where I related to Wonder Woman (except her powers, of course). I loved the time it was set around too, any film or book set in a World War always manages to capture my interest. I would definitely recommend this film to anyone.
