Damart Trench Coat

Recently I was contacted about trying an item from Damart's new SS16 collection and it didn't take me long at all to decide what item I wanted. I think Trench Coats are amazing for spring, they're an amazing transitional piece when the weather isn't warm enough yet to go without a coat. I love that this trench coat comes in 4 different (non-traditional trench coat) colours, Opal, Blue, Rose Tea and Powder (the one I'm wearing above).
I'm a huge fan of this coat, it provides all the warmth you need for these early spring months as well as being on-trend! This colour also goes with the majority of my clothes, which is a bonus.

Butterfly Twists

I think every female I know at some point has wished they had a spare pair of shoes with them, to relieve their sore, tired feet especially when wearing heels. I've seen a lot of basic foldable flats on the market, but never anything like what Butterfly Twists have to offer. Butterfly Twists have a large range of ballet pumps that fold up and a bag to put them in, so you can pop them straight in your handbag or your clutch bag in case of tired feet.

Butterfly Twists kindly let me choose a pair of their ballet pumps to try out, so I chose the Isobel shoes in black. My favourite thing about these shoes is the fact that they'll go with pretty much anything! It's nice to know that even if your feet start hurting in heels, your shoes still go with your outfit. The Butterfly Twists ballet pumps aren't flimsy like I'd have expected foldable shoes to be, they feel like they're really good quality. They're so comfy, you can wear them on a day-to-day basis, not just to relieve your feet from heels. I also love how when I'm wearing them they don't have that elasticated look that other foldable flats have.

Have you tried foldable flats before?

Motel Rocks Wishlist

One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six | Seven | Eight

Motel is one of my favourite online brands to buy from. I own a few of their dresses, skirts and shirts and they're some of my favourite things to wear, you can dress them up or down. I've recently been browsing their new in section and I've found the above pieces I'd like to get my hands on. I love how this season everything seems to be going a bit sixties, it's one of my favourite decades for fashion and I'd love to see it as a trend. You can definitely tell I've got a love for dresses and floral patterns in this wishlist!

Pinterest Tips

Last year I attended an event all about Pinterest and how to utilise it. This post has certainly been a long time coming but I wanted to wait to write it until I'd completely got the hang of it, and was putting the tips into practice myself. I am by no means saying this is how you must use Pinterest, this is just what I learnt from the event I attended held by people from Pinterest.

Make your boards specific
Your pins will be easier to find and navigate if you have them in specific boards. Rather than having 'Food', have boards like 'Food - Breakfast' 'Food - Cake' etc. It will make your boards and pins easier to find which means more engagement with your pins.

Have detailed pin descriptions
When I first started using Pinterest, I just used to repin and didn't realise that you're actually meant to edit the description under the pin! If you've got an image of a Motel dress for example rather than putting 'Wow this looks amazing!', you could write 'Motel Selina Slip Dress in Vintage Floral, I'd love to style this with some cleated heel Chelsea boots'. This will help to engage more people with the pin, they will find what they were specifically searching for.

Vertical high quality photos are best
When uploading photos to your blog, it would be great for pins if you made your main title photo a vertical, high quality image. This means people will be able to pin it and whoever sees it on Pinterest will get a great preview of your post. Also, because of the layout of Pinterest, vertical photos look better.

Install the 'pin it' button on your blog
Installing the pin it button on your blog, especially if it shows up when people hover over your photos, is a great way of sharing your blog on Pinterest. It means your readers can come to your blog and they can easily share an image on Pinterest, also you will show up as the source.

Pin regularly
The way the majority of pins are found is through searching and the home page. Therefore if someone follows you and you're pinning often, your pins are more likely to show up on their homepage, so they're more likely to repin you!

There's no such thing as too many pins!
Pin as much as you want! There is no such thing as too many pins or too many boards. However, if you know you'll be pinning a lot to certain boards before you create them and don't want to fill up everyone's homepage with your pins, you can always start the board as secret and then make it public later on.

Collective Haul March 2016

On Friday, me and Chloe went shopping and even though I'm saving all the money I've got, there were a few bits I had to treat myself to. The first place we went where I bought something was Paperchase. I love washi tape and don't actually own any apart from Christmas themed ones! I wanted some pretty ones for my scrapbooking and as I love photography and sewing I chose camera and measuring tape themed ones. I also bought a gold and white chevron tape as I thought it was pretty.

We then went into Primark and I'd seen the chalkboard on a haul video so knew I wanted to buy it. I think it will help me organise my week - I can write my work shifts on there and what I need to do everyday. Chloe had also told me there were some Disney bags and when I saw this Alice in Wonderland one I knew I had to have it. I always carry round such a big bag and most of the time I don't need to, so this is the perfect size.

The last shop I bought a few things from was Superdrug. I'd heard about Pixie Lott Paint products and knew I wanted to try them, so I picked up these hair chalks. I think they'll look lovely in the summer! I also picked up MUA's Brow Define Mascara as I've nearly ran out of Benefit's Gimme Brow. I wanted something a bit cheaper so Chloe recommended this. The last thing I bought was Barry M Lip liner in Red. I don't own a lighter red lip liner so this was a must have.

Do you own any of these products?
