Next Lingerie Event Bullring Birmingham

Recently me and a few other local bloggers headed to the Next Lingerie Event at the Bullring, Birmingham. On a day-to-day basis I don't think us woman think a lot about our bras, we just put them on, get on with our day and take them off when we get home. However, as I found out at the Next event, we need to make sure we're getting fitted once every six months, so that our bras are still comfortable and so we know whether we're still the same size or not. Sorry my photos aren't the best - I forgot my camera!

Next have recently relaunched their lingerie and I was shocked as to how affordable it is! The majority of the bras are on a 2 for £22 offer, which is amazing. I usually spend about £25-30 on bras (which I now know do not fit properly) and I doubt I ever will again!

I've never had a proper fitting before, I've just measured myself with the whole tape measure thing at home (which is so inaccurate by the way)! At the event, we were told the majority of women are wearing the wrong bra size. The majority of us were wearing the wrong size and couldn't believe how comfortable it was to wear the correct size. Next kindly gifted us each a set (in the correct bra size) which I am ever so grateful for. I was told that a plunge style suits me best so I went with the 'Carrie' style, with matching briefs. Being fitted was the best thing I think I've ever done, as you definitely feel so much more supported when you are wearing the right bra size!

The Perfect Nude Lip Duo

I didn't used to be a huge fan of nude lips on myself, however recently I've really gotten into them after using this lip combination. I love using Illamasqua Glamore lipstick in Starkers after I've lined my lips with the Clarins Nude Beige lip liner. With these two products, I can create an ombre lip which is perfect for a day-to-day look. I line my lips on the lip line, as I don't like to overdraw them, then I colour in about 3/4 of the way in on each side. I blend it out so it doesn't look so harsh, then I pop the lipstick in the middle and blend it together with my finger. This looks great when you don't want to go for a bold lip but still want to make a statement with nude lips!

Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks

Clarins recently launched their new Joli Rouge lipsticks and kindly sent me two shades to try out. The packaging of these lipsticks reminds me of the usual luxury of Clarins and I love the classic 'C' on the top. The simplicity of the packaging makes them simply beautiful. The lipsticks glide on with so much ease and are so moisturising which is perfect for these colder months! It stays on for such a long time if you blot it, which I tend to do so there's less chance of it appearing on my teeth.

I own the shades 'Tea Rose' and 'Royal Plum'. Tea Rose is a gorgeous pinky nude shade, which is great as an everyday shade, I think it's my new favourite nude. Royal Plum is absolutely perfect for Autumn/Winter as it is the perfect berry shade. It reminds me of Charlotte Tilbury's Glastonberry. I'm sure I'll be wearing these two lipsticks a lot over the coming months!
