Bandzee Box | It's a hair thing!

Bandzee Box is a new subscription box all about hair (made by the same people as the amazing Pink Parcel) and I was so excited to hear all about it. I am not a huge fan of spending loads of time on my hair, but caring for it and tying it up I do have time for. I was kindly sent this box and I absolutely love what's inside!

The main feature inside the Bandzee Box is the Bandzee hair bobbles. They come in a different design each month, with a different quote on the card they come on. I love this months quote, I love mermaids! The hair ties are snag free and cause less damage to the hair than a regular hair bobble. They're made from super soft elastic, similar to that in your underwear so they will be so kind to your hair. They're stretchy but tight, which is good because you don't feel your hair slipping out of them! In the box, I also received the cutest little keyring hairbrush. This will be perfect for those annoying knots I get throughout the day, I just hope it can withstand them!

Finally in the box I got a nail file and a bar of chocolate. Every subscription box should come with a bar of chocolate, it is definitely needed! This bar sounds interesting and I can't wait to try it! Bandzee box is only £4.95 a month with free P&P, if you're interested in getting this handy and wonderful subscription box, make sure to sign up to hear when it launches here.

Birmingham's #HiddenGems!

I live in the UK's second city, Birmingham. Most people I know from rural areas find Birmingham ever so big and exciting. I find that the majority of people I've met that live somewhere other than Birmingham only know about the Bullring and 'The Bull'. There is so much more to Birmingham than the Bullring, Birmingham has many 'hidden gems' to be explored.

I would say Birmingham's biggest 'hidden gem' is the music scene. There are so many great music venues in Birmingham and so many up-and-coming artists and bands. If you're in Birmingham any time I'd recommend going to see a gig at The Rainbow or The Flapper, two venues that are lesser known and are certainly hidden gems! I'd also recommend going to see Establishment, a Birmingham based band. After all, there are a few well known bands from Birmingham, such as Black Sabbath, Duran Duran, The Streets and UB40. Local bands are definitely worth a watch!

If you love a bit of history, Birmingham's back-to-backs are not far from the city centre. They are Birmingham's last surviving back-to-backs and are run by the National Trust. They show you life in back-to-backs from 1870 through to 1970 with a guided tour. It's amazing to see what city life was like back then, especially for under £10 per person!

One of my favourite hidden gems is the canal. In every season, it's lovely to walk along the canal or through Brindley Place, but it's particularly beautiful in summer! It's a great place to get in the sun and enjoy the weather, there are also a large amount of restaurants around there and the Sea Life Centre is around there too.

The Library of Birmingham is a great place to visit. You're probably thinking, 'Why a library?', but this library is huge and the bookshelves on some floors look like something out of Harry Potter. Around Christmastime you can see the German Market from the outside balcony, it looks absolutely amazing.

The last hidden gem I have to share is the Electric Cinema. It's the UK's oldest working cinema, round the corner from Birmingham New Street and the new Grand Central. They have settees and an amazing selection of food and drink, including cocktails! This is an amazing cinema as it shows newly released films but also classics, foreign films, independent films and live streams. It's definitely worth a visit if you're having a weekend away, you can say you've been to the UK's oldest working cinema too!

A Travelodge is a great place to stay in Birmingham. There are 5 within walking distance of the city centre and train stations. They have super cheap rates, so you can spend more money enjoying your weekend break than on a room to sleep in. It is also under £8 for an all-you-can eat breakfast buffet! You'll be able to explore Birmingham's #HiddenGems without breaking the bank. Travelodge have created an interactive here, which shows you Birmingham's landmarks in the past and present!

Transitioning my bedroom from Summer to Autumn

I know this post is up a bit late as summer officially ended three days ago, but everything has been a bit hectic recently and I still wanted to post this! In Summer, I like my room to be bright, cool and light. Luckily for me, the majority of my room is white. However, I do have a black feature wall and black carpet, which does dull everything down a little bit - as well as a huge tree right outside my window!

One of the things I like to do to brighten my room up is put on a nice bright duvet cover, like these ones from Parachute Home. I have one of the Las Vegas sign and it's a gorgeous sky blue colour. This brightens up my room so much and helps me cling onto summer a little bit longer. The ideal duvet cover to brighten up my room would be a gorgeous crisp white, but I'm too scared to get one as I'd end up getting tan all over it!

I also like to put a fan on in my room before I head up to bed to cool my room down. I have one of those rooms that is boiling in the summer and freezing in the winter, so it is difficult to get the temperature right! As we're just coming into colder weather the fan is being put on less and less.

How do you lighten up your bedroom?

Partylite Candles | Halloween Collection & GIVEAWAY! (CLOSED)

If you haven't heard of Partylite, then you clearly haven't been to one of their amazing candle parties! They're a bit like Avon or The Body Shop at Home the way you have a consultant, order out of a catalogue and  sometimes the consultants do parties to showcase the candles! They've just brought out their new Halloween Collection, inspired by Mexico's Day of the Dead. All the candles are quite bright and will definitely give the room you put them in a Halloween glow!

The first is the Large Skull Jar candle, with the Hocus Pocus scent. It is a ghoulish halloweeny neon yellow/lime colour and I can't get enough of it! The Hocus Pocus scent is described as citrus and florals with a touch of coconut and praline, the citrus is definitely the strongest scent in there. This has a burn time of 50-60 hours, I am yet to test out how long it lasts but it is a very big candle! This can also be used with the colour-changing candle base, where the wax gets more luminous the more it melts. This is a great relaxing candle duo for the Halloween holiday.

One of my favourite products from the Halloween collection are the Skeleton Dance Votive pair. They're reusable so I'll be able to use them for years to come, but for now I can use them with the Autumn Glow votives. Their burn time is 8-11 hours and you get a dozen in a pack. The Autumn Glow scent is described as smelling like spiced apples and pine, which I think is spot on. I also have the Universal Tealight Candles in the Hocus Pocus scent. They have a burn time of 4-6 hours, which I think is pretty good for a tealight! You get a dozen in a pack.

You can some of the Halloween collection for yourself! All you need to do is fill out the rafflecopter form below. The mandatory entries are to follow me on Twitter, follow Beautrina on Bloglovin, follow Partylite on Instagram and visit Partylite on Facebook. You must be a UK resident and over 18 or have your parent/guardian permission to enter. The giveaway closes on the 18th October at midnight!

Wonderbra Glam Collection AW15

Wonderbra Glam Bra | Wonderbra Glam Thong
I think every girl loves a good matching set of lingerie. Wonderbra are one of my favourites for lingerie, they make gorgeous sets and the 'Glam Collection', which is part of Wonderbra's AW15 collection, showcases this perfectly. The set consists of the Glam bra, thong and suspender in a gorgeous blush shade of pink. With the silky smooth satin fabric and lace detailing, the set seems extremely luxurious and more expensive than it retails for! As with all of Wonderbra's sets, it is true to size and so comfortable. It's very unusual to find a sexy yet comfortable lingerie set, however Wonderbra always manage it.

The lace detailing on the bra, especially the straps adds a feminine touch and looks rather girly which I love! I also love how the lace doesn't cover the cups so you can still see the gorgeous satin blush pink. The thong matches perfectly, I love how there is a strip of satin in between the lace, which makes the set look feminine yet daring. The suspender matches the lace pattern on the bra and thong, altogether it really does make the most gorgeous and glam set!

Daniel Footwear Wishlist

One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six

One - Daniel Black Suede Over-the-Knee Boot
I absolutely love over-the-knee boots but just don't know if I can pull them off! I love these ones because they're suede and look more versatile than a leather over-the-knee boot. I'd wear these with dresses and skirts, it'd add a bit of extra warmth in winter and leaves less leg on show. Absolutely stunning!

Two - Kitty Navy Velvet Loafer Pumps
These are the cutest shoes ever and I'd gladly add them to my collection. I'm finding velvet shoes very attractive this season and ones with cats on are even better. Plus they're in navy, a difference from black which I always wear!

Three - Daniel Tiff Nude Patent Court Shoe
These shoes look incredible. I love the studs and I love the straps across the foot. With bony feet like mine, you need those to make them look prettier. Nude is also different to black shoes I usually go for.

Four - Vivienne Westwood Wing Back Court Shoe
I have a soft spot in my heart for all of Vivienne Westwood's designs and these shoes are no exception. I absolutely love the wing on the back, it adds so much detail to a plain black court shoe. Her shoes are always so comfortable too!

Five - Michael Kors Georgia Metallic Heeled Court Shoe
I found these shoes and instantly thought they'd be perfect for Christmas party season. They'll go with anything, which is a complete bonus. They will also instantly glam up any outfit, I love them so much!

Six - Melissa Cinderella Lady Dragon Clear 'Glass Slipper'
The newest Cinderella film is one of my favourite films and therefore these shoes caught my eye straight away. I love how they're like glass slippers but in the classic Melissa style. I find the butterflies on the front adorable and would want to wear these all day everyday to feel like a princess!

Birmingham Fashion Week 2015

Last weekend I went along to Birmingham Fashion Week and met up with Carolin beforehand. It's great to finally see some fashion in Birmingham and have something to do here! Even though it's a city, I've lived here all of my life and I find that not many exciting things happen. We had a little chat about Vernez with Paige and her colleagues, it seems like an amazing app. As soon as I got home I downloaded it! Then we took our seats to watch the first runway show, which was Arabel Manners, a UK designer who makes size 42 and up shoes. The shoes were absolutely beautiful! Segrid Allen from the USA also showcased her gorgeous swimwear, gowns and wedding gowns. I love the one above with the roses down the back.

Becky Sheeran and her sister, Holly Sheeran also did a talk which inspired me to keep my blog going and help it grow. It also made me want to start YouTube. It was interesting to hear about how you start blogging as a career. I also caught up with them afterwards in the Blogger's Lounge, along with Rohit. It was great to get chatting to some other bloggers and people that get what you do! I had a great night, I left feeling so inspired to follow my dreams, as cheesy as it may sound!

Bloggers Fashion Week

On Monday, I headed down to London by myself to attend Bloggers Fashion Week organised by The Bloggers Hangout. It was held at the OXO Tower, with the most instagram worthy room so I quickly got down to taking many photos, hence why this post is so picture heavy! Before I headed off there I met Anna, Ana and a couple of her friends at Waterloo. It's always great fun meeting other bloggers!

There was an all black dress code so I wore my Dorothy Perkins duster jacket, new blouse (to be seen properly soon), Missguided trousers and Next flats. I love meeting other bloggers and chatting to brands about their products so I thought this was a wonderful event. Some of my favourite brands were there and also brands I've been lusting after for ages so it was great to see their products in person.

I'd been wanting so see Halo Hair Extensions in real life ever since I heard about them. I finally got to see them the other day and I was VERY impressed. Ever since I got my hair cut shorter last year I've hated it and the Halo seems like a very quick boost of length and volume! I also heard a little bit about Little Ondine before the event. One of the lovely girls painted my nails with one of the colours, I was really impressed that it was odour free (as my boyfriend has made it very clear he does not like me painting my nails around him), fast drying and you can peel it off! I hate having to get out the nail varnish remover so I'm absolutely in love with this.

I absolutely love lingerie so it was wonderful to see With Love Lilly and Fleur of England at the fashion week. With Love Lilly's lingerie is all handmade by a mother-daughter business and it is gorgeous! I loved their Ariel bra and I'm hoping to purchase one soon! Fleur of England is a brand I am constantly watching on instagram. All of their lingerie is stunning and instagram worthy. I am obsessed.

Magnitone London demonstrated their new Barefaced brush and I think I need an upgrade from my Lucid, because the new brushes have a new technology which massages your face and it felt amazing. Then I got to view my favourite brand, Motel Rocks, new AW15 collection. I'm definitely loving the pieces and will be buying some!

I have found that hip flasks are a great gift and these SWIG Flasks are the most luxurious ones I've seen. As you can see in the photos, the flask comes in a gorgeous gift box lined with the most gorgeous patterned silky fabric. Inside is the flask and your membership number, which is also engraved onto the flask. You can choose to have the flask engraved which I think would be wonderful as a wedding present for someone or for a big birthday.

The hip flask is such good quality, but doesn't feel too heavy so it would be easy to take out and about with you. You could fill it with water or alcohol, whatever takes your fancy really. My Mom even suggested it would be good to put brandy in on a long walk to warm you up!

You can actually win one of the SWIG Hip Flasks for yourself! Whether you're at uni, want to give one as a gift or want a quality hip flask, you'll love how luxurious they are. You can enter via the Rafflecopter form below! You must be over 16 or have your parent/guardians permission to enter. It is compulsory to follow my blog on Bloglovin, me on Twitter and Swig Flasks  on Twitter to enter.
