Topshop Love

Crop Top - Topshop
Trousers - Topshop
Denim Jacket - Topshop (Similar here)
Skate Shoes - Topshop

I have obviously become more and more obsessed with Topshop. Less than a year ago, I owned nothing from there and now I feel as if I own quite a few pieces of clothing from there! This is my 100th post and what a better way to celebrate than with a Summery-ish outfit post?! I am in love with these skate shoes, they are the most comfortable shoes! As you may have also noticed in this post I haven't tanned - I'm giving my body a beauty break over exams so I can focus solely on revision.

May Favourites

Is it just me, or do favourites posts come around too often?! The year is going so fast! I bought quite a few things at the end of April that I've been loving throughout May. The first is MAC Lipstick in Girl About Town which has been my everyday shade throughout this month. It's perfect for spring/summer and I feel like it's the perfect everyday shade for me, as most nudes tend to wash me out. Another favourite of mine has been the MAC 217 Blending Brush, I have officially been converted. I don't think I could live without this brush now, it blends eyeshadow out so well. If you're thinking £17.50 for an eyeshadow brush?! It is worth it. This month I also discovered the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, definitely one of my new favourites and it is so cute! I love using this with my MAC 217 brush. Yet another MAC favourite of mine has to be Lipstick in Russian Red. I absolutely love this colour, I don't think I could cope without it in my make up routine! The last favourite for this month has to be Victoria's Secret Eau De Toilette in Love Spell, it smells so good and is perfect for spritzing as I'm running out the door. What have been your favourites this month?!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - £4.99

This is the second Micellar water I have tried and it didn't disappoint. The packaging of this Micellar water makes it easy to not dispense too much product, and you don't need much each time to remove all your make up. It takes me about 3 cotton pads of this to remove all my make up when I've done a full face. It is certainly kind to sensitive skin, as I have the most sensitive skin there is (I think) and it doesn't irritate my face or my eyes at all. I must admit I am rather lazy and don't cleanse after using this, even though it says you don't need to! I don't feel the need to cleanse afterwards as it does remove all of my make up. I'm very glad I picked this up and when it runs out I will definitely be picking it up again. This is said to be a dupe for Bioderma, so if you've tried that and this - let me know how they compare!

A Very Nosey Beauty Tag

I was tagged by Gillian to do the Very Nosey Beauty Tag!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners and lip products or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Definitely all of my palettes and eye shadows...I could never wear eyeshadow without mascara!

2. Would you rather chop of all your hair or never cut it again?
Never cut it again, I'd cry having to chop it off.

3. If you had £500 would you spend it on clothes or make up?
Clothes! Believe it or not I think if I bought £500 of make up I'd never use most of it.

4. Would you rather use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Definitely one eyeshadow colour. Neutrals go with every lip colour!

5. Bright nails or nude nails all year round?
Bright! I don't paint my nails depending on the season.

6. Would you rather never be able to use lipgloss or never paint your nails again?
Never use lipgloss! If I couldn't paint my nails I think I would have a mental breakdown and I'm not even joking.

7. Describe your perfect mascara? Have you found one?
One that volumises and lengthens, and also stays on through a hormonal spout of crying. Le Volume De Chanel does this perfectly!

8. What is your ideal coverage foundation?
I like to be able to build the coverage - sometimes I prefer a sheer coverage to a heavy coverage, but for nights out I go all out.

9. Favourite drugstore beauty brand?

10. Favourite high end beauty brand?
I'm not sure! Possibly Benefit!

11. Is there any makeup you can leave the house without wearing?
All of it! Of course I feel like I look better with it on but I never feel awful not wearing it.

12. What is your most cherished beauty product?

Probably my MAC Russian Red lipstick - it's my absolute favourite.

13. What type of skin do you have?
Dry Combination. My nose is oily and my face is normal to dry.

14. Do you always use the same skin routine?
Not always, it depends what my skin is doing as it's very temperamental.

15. My top 5 beauty gurus.
Fleur DeForce, Zoe Sugg, Tanya Burr, Tati and Vivianna.

16. If you could only buy one make up brand forever what would you buy?
I think it would have to be Illamasqua, as I love most of their products, even if I don't own them all!

17. Which brand has your favourite packaging?
Dior. Their packaging is beautiful!

18. Which do you apply first concealer or foundation?
Always apply concealer first, I'm not sure why.

19. Name a make up crime you hate
When people use the brushes products come with, some are good but others are useless and some make up looks extremely unblended!

20. Blush or bronzer?
Bronzer for definition!

21. Lipgloss or lipstick?
Lipstick definitely.

22. Foundation or concealer?

23. Brushes or sponges?
Brushes, I've never even picked up a make-up sponge.

24. O.P.I. Or Essie?
O.P.I. as I've never used an Essie Polish.

25. Lotion or body butter?

Body Butter in the winter and Lotion in summer.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

This is a foundation I have used and believed exactly what it says on the bottle. It definitely does make you look more awake and gives you a radiant glow. Some may be scared off by the shimmer but on the face it doesn't look shimmery, it just makes you look radiant. I like the coverage of this foundation, it's not too light and not too heavy. I like the packaging, as always with most Rimmel Foundation packaging there is a pump which makes for a clean application! One pump covers my whole face, and with primer and powder it stays on all day. This also doesn't cling to any dry patches, so when I had a horrible patch of dry skin on my face this was my saviour. I have been recommended this foundation many a time and I'm glad I took the advice! I've put some photos of the foundation on me below - please excuse my eyebrows this is just before I had them done!

I Heart Perfume Tag

I saw Chloe post this tag so I thought I'd do it, I do love perfume!

1. What was the first perfume you ever purchased?
The first perfume I ever bought for myself was Britney Spears Believe whilst I was on holiday in Majorca, this wasn't the first I had choice over and I think I only picked it because it was Britney's new perfume. I didn't even smell it until I got home!

2. What's your signature perfume?
Vera Wang Princess is definitely my signature perfume, Ryan bought me my first bottle back in Christmas of 2010 and I have worn it to death ever since! He's bought me a bottle ever Christmas bar one and last year he bought me an 100ml - so hopefully this one will last me a bit longer!

3. What's your most recent perfume purchase?
Believe it or not I've only ever bought myself two bottles of perfume in my life - Britney Spears Believe in 2009 and DKNY Be Delicious in 2012. My latest perfume purchased for me was Britney Spears Radiance (noticing a theme here?) it was on the clearance aisle in Boots, and my mom bought it for me as she liked the smell of it too!

4. What perfume would you wear at night time/date night?
On a night out I usually reach for Givenchy Dahlia Noir which smells absolutely gorgeous, however on date nights I reach for Vera Wang Princess as Ryan has bought me every bottle and the scent reminds me of memories with him.

5. What's your favourite Spring/Summer perfume?
I'm going to say DKNY Be Delicious even though it's no longer in my collection, it's a very summery fragrance.

6. What's your favourite Autumn/Winter perfume?
I don't really have a favourite for Autumn/Winter but I'll say Vera Wang Princess again as I tend to receive it at Christmas time so it makes me think of Winter!

7. What's your favourite scent category? (Fruity, Floral, Fresh, Oriental, Woody)
I'd say it would have to be floral or fruity, that tends to be the types of perfume I go after.

8. What perfume are you currently lusting after?
I borrowed my friends Viva La Juicy before a night out and wow I love the smell, now I'm certainly lusting after a bottle of that.

9. What fragrance/cologne do you like on your significant other?
I absolutely love Dolce and Gabanna The One for Men on Ryan, it smells absolutely gorgeous and I wish I could describe it better. You know when someone smells that good you just want to sniff them all over without being creepy and weird? Yeah, that!

Revision Ideas

As this is now my 4th year of exams, I like to think I'm okay at revising and know what helps me. I use a variety of techniques and thought I'd share them for any of you that have got exams coming up! Some of these tips I have also taken from this video by FleurDeForce, so make sure you go and watch that as it is super helpful!

The first thing I've done this year is organise all my class notes into expanding box files. This helps as you can separate them into sections, which you can then make smaller notes on yourself in something like a divided notebook. Divided notebooks are useful as you can make separate notes on separate topics and not get mixed up. Then if everything is split up into sections you can give yourself a couple of sections to do each day to make revision easier!

Then I like to make mind maps and revision cards as they can make information easier to look at. I create mind maps first using colourful felt tips, then I put the information in the mind map onto a revision card without condensing it too much. Instead of using separate cards like I did last year, I bought divided revision card books from WH Smith as I thought that would be easier than sticking a sticker on every single card, to show me what topic it was for!

Lastly make sure you don't leave it a few days before the exam to revise. Most of the time it won't work and you won't get an amazing grade, especially now they've made exams harder!

I hope these were useful tips for you.

Last Saturday, me and my friend went to see McBusted, and it was one of the most exciting concerts of my life as I felt like my 6 year old self again! We were sat quite close to the front, and only a few metres away from the 'Intergalactical Frisbee' so it was really exciting to actually be able to see them performing! They honestly put on an amazing show and everytime they played a new song I jumped up and down with excitement, what's wrong with being honest?! I would definitely go and see them again if given the opportunity, it was absoluely amazing. Excuse my photo quality being bad - I realised on the train I had forgotten my camera so had to use my iPhone 4. Boo! However I spent the majority of the night enjoying myself and seeing them in real life instead of through a camera screen, the best way. I won't write up the setlist as I don't want to ruin it for those of you who are going. If you've been to a show or going, let me know in the comments!

What I Do On Exam Days!

I think everyone knows how horrible and daunting exam days feel, so I thought I'd share some tips with you for what I do and how I cope. Some tips may help you so if you find them useful that's great!

Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to your exam. When I was doing GCSE's at school, I found it easy to time manage because if my exam was in the morning, I'd either walk with a friend or my Mom would give me a lift. If I had an exam in the afternoon, if I wasn't on study leave, I'd already be in school and me and my friends would walk to the exam together. Now, doing A-Levels at a college in the city centre is a bit of a stressor. I have to rely on the bus to get me there, so a morning exam is hell as I have to leave super early to get there on time. Especially since my exams are not even in my college building!

Make sure you eat before your exam! To fill my stomach, I usually have a bacon baguette as it's the quickest thing to make that will actually fill me up quite a bit. There's nothing worse than your stomach rumbling in a silent exam. It always happens to me. After eating the bacon baguette at home, whilst walking to the exam with my friends I'll eat a bar of Bournville.

I also have a bit of an OCD thing with exams, I always get scared I'll fall asleep or get a headache, so I have to take one painkiller (just in case) and one Pro Plus. If I don't do this, I'd probably think about it for the whole exam.

On exam days, I never wear make up as I'd probably end up smudging it all over my face. This is just a personal preference, I also tie my hair into a bun right on the top of my head so no hair goes near my face whatsoever.

Finally, when I'm sat down in the exam I block everyone out and try to keep calm, maybe by taking a few deep breaths.

These are just some things I do on days I have exams! Let me know in the comments below what you do on exam days?

Exam Time...

May has come back around, quicker than ever for my second year of A-Level exams, and also for many other people's exams. As soon as May hits, we're in the depth of exams until mid-June. The stress is completely on now and I'd like to give some tips on how to keep calm and how to cope during exam time, that have previously worked for me.

The first thing I suggest to keep calm is to work out when you are available to revise, and giving yourself days off revision. I made a timetable from the 3rd of March to the 16th of June, when my exams finish, working out when I had plans and when my exams were. While revising, if you begin to get stressed, don't keep revising. I've learnt this is the worst thing possible you can do! If you stress while revising, it will just make you more stressed. Take a breather, watch some TV or read some blogs, whatever helps you relax. Then go back to it when you're feeling ready to. The timetable I made looked like this below, before I printed it off and wrote all over it.

I recommend also stocking up on revision food. You could take it like I do, if you're a chocoholic this is an excuse for your boyfriend/parents/brother to buy you chocolate (especially dark chocolate, as it lowers your cortisol levels and boosts your brain power. My favourite is Cadbury's Bournville!). Or, if you prefer to eat healthier, you could opt for nuts, pumpkin seeds or anything they can pack in a graze box! You can also add broccoli to your meals as that increases brain power too.

If you're stressing a lot over your exams, you can use Kalms or Pro Plus. I have personally used these as I feel Kalms do actually make you feel a lot more calm, and a lot less anxious, and Pro Plus helps me to stay awake during that ever so boring revision!

If you have any questions or anymore tips on what you do, please do comment below.

Manchester Haul

Last Wednesday, me and Jess headed to Manchester for a bit of shopping. Going shopping with another blogger is never good for the bank account! We went to the Trafford Centre - which I will add - is absolutely amazing and it was easy to spend a whole day there.

I picked up some beauty products from Victoria's Secret as they had a 5 for £30 deal on. I chose two fragrance mists, Aqua Kiss and Endless Love; a Love Spell Eau De Toilette and Pure Seduction Body Scrub. If you're wondering where the 5th product is, I picked a fragrance mist up for my friend. I could have spent hundreds in Victoria's Secret...if I had that much money!

I also took advantage of the Boots 3 for 2 as I really wanted some of the Revlon Spiderman Polishes and a liquid eyeliner as I've never used one! I picked up the shades Gwen's Crush and Super-powered as they were the ones that most appealed to me, and I got Bourjois Liner Feutre Felt Tip Eyeliner, my first Bourjois product!

The most dangerous part of shopping hit when I reached the MAC counter in Selfridges, although I did know what I wanted to buy! I picked up Brush Cleanser and Girl About Town Lipstick, then made a last minute decision to buy the 217 brush. Hopefully this helps me to do my eyeshadow better!

Lastly, I bought two vest racer-back crop tops from Topshop which I think will be perfect to wear throughout summer. I think I picked up quite a few items I'd been lusting after so I was very happy about that! Are you lusting after anything I picked up in Manchester?
