April Favourites

I made a few new purchases at the start of April that throughout the month have worked their way into being some of my favourite products. The first one is Lauren's Way Tanning Mousse in Medium, which I have used twice this month. This is the first self-tanner I've used and I absolutely love how dark but natural the tan it gives me is. I have also been loving Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and Concealer after needing new foundation and concealer for when I tan. Review on these is coming soon! I have been loving my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette which I got for only £18.50 from Cohorted! I wanted it since it first came out and I have used no other eyeshadows this month! Lastly I have been loving Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+. At the beginning of April I had the most horrible dry skin on my face and this got rid of it in no time.

Casual Sunday

Crop Top - Topshop
Blazer - New Look
Trousers - Missguided
Skater Shoes - Topshop

I was looking to steer away from trousers that weren't actually jeans, so when I saw these on the Missguided website I knew these were a good 'starter' pair. I think I can dress these up or down, and they can be worn in a monochrome style or with a colourful top. The trousers feel so soft and warm so they are perfect to wear all year round. They're high waisted so I paired them with a crop top, I also added a blazer partly for warmth and partly because it went well with the rest of the outfit. I will definitely be venturing into some more patterned trousers!

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer

I decided to buy this concealer as part of the Boots 3 for 2 a while back, after Becky's recommendation in her videos. Going into testing this product with high hopes, it certainly did not disappoint. The under eye concealer (left side) is perfect for brightening the under eye, especially when those big dark circles come creeping through! Dark circles get covered right up. The general concealer (right side) is amazing for covering up spots and any redness, I find this is perfect around my nose and on my chin to cover up those pesky red patches. The translucent powder is perfect for setting the concealer and I find if I use this my concealer will not budge all day, which is amazing! Both concealers are super creamy and so lovely to apply and blend, and both do their job - concealing! Have you tried Kick Ass Concealer?

Lauren's Way Self-Tan Bronzing Mousse

Velvotan The Self Tan Applicator Mitt - £2.99

I bought the Lauren's Way Self-Tan in Medium after seeing before and after pictures on twitter. I have never fake tanned before, and wanted to start as I was fed up of having pale legs! 24 hours before I applied the tan, I shaved and then exfoliated. I applied moisturiser on my knees, elbows and face so that the tan didn't cling too much to those dry areas. It didn't take long to apply the tan, and it dried really quickly, so I could put my shirt on for bed straight away. I tanned my whole body before going to bed, to let the tan develop. They recommend you leave the tan for a minimum of 8 hours and I left the tan for about 10/11 hours, then went in the shower and washed it off to reveal a beautiful tan! I had no streaks and the colour was even all over!

My tan lasted for about a week - which I think is a great amount of time as it won't feel like a chore to apply it once a week. I love how natural it looks, and how many compliments I received on it, and I felt so much more confident getting my legs out with tan on! This will certainly be my go-to product for Summer, I absolutely love it. If you're a first time tanner like I was, this is certainly for you.

Exciting Week!

This week has been amazingly busy, I never have any plans and then when I do they all come at once! On Tuesday, I took my Mom to see Gary Barlow at the LG Arena as I had bought her tickets for her birthday in December! She was really excited and glad that I'd taken her as she enjoyed it so much. I enjoyed it too to be honest, Eliza Doolittle was the support act and she is also one of my favourite singers so I was really excited to see her live again. The whole concert was great and funny, he is a really good singer and performer. He also got a woman called Hayley on the stage and she was hilarious. He performed some of his new songs, some Take That classics and even a Robbie Williams song! It was great.

Gary Barlow
Eliza Doolittle

On Friday night, I was back at the LG Arena for Justin Timberlake, which I was super excited about! He was absolutely amazing, and I wish I could've seen him the second night too! He sang a mixture of songs, some from each of his albums and also some covers. That man can singgggg! One of my favourite male singers definitely.

On Saturday, I headed to the Clinique counter to find out what was wrong with my skin and got given some samples to try out, then headed to my friend's to stay there. We had a hilarious night that involved dancing and then eventually involved screaming and spiders, that part was not good but still hilarious! Then after my severely late night, my and my Mom headed to my sister's house for Sunday Lunch, as we hadn't seen her for quite a few months! Overall, I've had a really busy - but amazing week!

Cutest Co-Ords

Crop Top - Missguided
Asymmetric Skirt - Missguided
Skater Shoes - Topshop
Bag - Topshop (White unavailable online)

This season I'm absolutely obsessed with co-ordinates. I fell in love with this set when I saw it, and had to buy it there and then! I think it's so adorable with some white accessories for Spring and Summer. The material of the crop top and skirt is so soft, and they both fit so well. I think I need to be adding more co-ordinates to my wardrobe in the coming months! I also love my matching-ish bag and shoes, I think they're also perfect for Spring and Summer as they brighten up outfits.

Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush

A few months ago, I complained about a Max Factor product I had used - I'd had a bad day, the product in question was waterproof mascara...that wasn't actually waterproof. This resulted in me, a crying mess typing out an email about how the mascara was now all down my face. Kindly, they emailed back saying they had sent out a voucher for me to use and when it arrived I was extremely happy. Max Factor have amazing customer service, I must say! With the voucher, I decided to buy Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush. And yes, I did use it before taking photos of it! Naughty me!

The shade I own is Soft Pink, as when I was choosing the shade, it looked like the only wearable one. I love how easy this blush is to apply, you can either use your fingers and blend it straight in or I also like to use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush as it works well with cream blush! It blends in so easily and adds a beautiful glow to your cheeks. The first time I used it I picked up way too much product - a little does go a long, long way!

The tiny pot doesn't look like it's worth the £6.99 it costs, however for the little amount you use each time, I think it certainly is. Have you tried this blush? What did you think?

Mr. Nutcase Ultra Lightweight Slimline Case

Ultra Light Weight Slimline Case* - £14.95

Recently Mr.Nutcase offered me a free phone case. I was so excited to get on the website and start designing my case. I chose the Ultra Lightweight Slimline case for my iPhone 4. I was spoilt for choice of designs, and decided on the lovely heart one above as you can see! This allowed me to choose 20 photos, a few of me and my boyfriend, a few of my family, a few friends and some micellanious photos (I had to include the penguin). After arranging all the photos where I wanted them, I then chose this gorgeous purple colour, my favourite colour! It was so easy to create - and I've since learned you can use their app to make one..silly me!

On my phone, this feels as if you barely have a case on, which I like as I've only ever had chunky cases before. A lot of people have seen me using my phone and asked me where I got it, these personalised cases are such a hit, and definitely cheaper than most of the other brands I have seen offering them. I've had my phone for nearly two years so it is nice to update it with a lovely personalised case!
