Healthy Haircare!

Hello everyone! I like to try and keep my hair super healthy, and because my hair is so long it's so hard to keep it soft and healthy! I'd like to share some products and tips for keeping hair healthy.

Just over a month ago, I had ombré put in my hair. My ombré isn't 'dramatic', as I told my hairdresser I wanted it as natural as possible, and she did a perfect job. However, after I washed it at home, my hair didn't feel soft any more and it looked as if my ombré had already faded!

But then I found..the beauty of L'Oréal Elvive Nourish & Shimmer Highlights Shampoo and Conditioner! Instantly, the Shampoo softened my hair and brightened the ombré and I fell in love. Then I went out and bought the conditioner to go along with it. Naughty. I have to say, every time I've used L'Oréal Shampoos and Conditioners they have kept my hair in such amazing condition, I don't know why I don't always use them!

To keep my hair healthy, I wash my hair every other day, because I find washing it every day is just too much and it takes away natural oils. Whilst washing my hair I always make sure to properly massage my scalp when I'm shampooing it, then when I've rinsed my shampoo I apply conditioner. I only put this on the middle to the ends of my hair, and leave it on for about 5 minutes. This makes my hair so soft and so much easier to brush! Then I use Avon's Moroccan Argan Oil Mask, which I also leave on for 5 minutes. I love how this makes my hair feel - it certainly does nourish my hair!

Before drying my hair, I use a heat protector spray, comb this through and put Moroccan Oil on the ends of my hair. I dry my hair upside down, completely, head hanging. Some may find this strange - but it does an amazing job for volume! I recently began to only dry the top of my hair and not the ends - it feels so much softer by letting the ends dry naturally!

How do you keep your hair healthy? Have you tried any of the products above?
