2013 Favourites

Hello everyone! This is my first ever favourites post, as in 2013, my favourites were pretty much the same each month. I'm so excited to have finally got one done!

First of all, my make-up and nail favourites! This year was the year I got interested in make-up, and finally cared about things other than mascara, lip balm and nail polish. I bought the Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat in the Summer, and it has been the best base coat I have used. I haven't experienced any staining on my nails since I've used this. I also bought the Revlon Photo Ready Primer in August, I won't tell you everything about it because I have a review coming soon! I also have been loving my minis of Le Volume De Chanel and Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascaras. These are two of the best mascaras I have ever used, and I will certainly be purchasing one, if not both of them in full size this year. I recently also started using a mini of Benefit Hoola Bronzer, now I've never owned a bronzer before so I don't have anything to compare it against, but I think it's an amazing all year round bronzer as you can build up the colour. I have also been loving the Cherry Me Baby Lips throughout these winter months, it provides a nice colour and a very moisturising base for lipstick! My last make-up favourite has to be Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in SB04. Before this I had been using the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain, and have since found out that it was too light, eek. This foundation is absolutely perfect, especially for occasions where you'll want higher coverage for photos! There is also a review on this coming soon.

Lastly, these are my skincare and body favourites! Firstly, my trusty Good Things Stay Clear Cleanser which I used for the whole of 2013. I used up three to four of these so you know I love them, it does keep your skin amazingly clear! Next is my L'Oreal 3-in-1 Micellar Solution which I absolutely love. Since using this to remove my make-up, I have ditched wipes and never gone back! This stuff is amazing. Finally, the amazing Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter. Before using this, I was a lazy butter-er?! if that's what you'd call it! It smells absolutely beautiful, everyone should try it!

  3. Lovely post, I've been meaning to try Baby Lips! I use Good Things Mattifying Moisturiser and I love it, I'll definitely give the cleanser a go!

  4. I love this post! I must say that I've also been loving the Cherry Me Baby Lips and I find that it's a great base or a great way to top up on dark pink/red lipstick but I have to disagree with their 8 hour moisturisation claim as I definitely don't think it keeps your lips baby soft for that long! For something that long lasting, I would go for Carmex. I still do love it though! Also, I see you're liking the L'Oreal 3-in-1 Micellar Solution and although I haven't tried this particular one, I've recently discovered the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and I think it's absolutely amazing! You can't beat it at all! I can't wait to read your review on the Revlon Photo Ready Primer as I really want to try it! Great post & I'm glad I've found you as I can't wait to read more posts :-)
