Collective Haul!

I have been shopping and internet shopping over the past week, and have bought a fair few items! Please excuse the poor photo quality, it appears my camera is playing up!

1) Chelsea Boots - I bought these lovely boots from my local Next Clearance store (if you haven't been to one, check it out!), they were made specifically for the Clearance stores so they can't be found online. I bought these for £26 and they're made of a lovely suede type material.

2) Tote Bag - I bought this from Next, you can buy the bag here for £32. The use for this bag will be for college, as it is big enough to fit massive folders and textbooks in!

3) Real Techniques Starter Set (Your Eyes/Enhanced) - This contains 5 brushes, the Base Shadow Brush, the Deluxe Crease Brush, an Accent Brush (for smudging or highlighting), the Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush and a Brow Brush. You can buy these here.

 4) Real Techniques Core Collection (Your Base/Flawless) - This contains 4 brushes, a Detailer Brush (for concealer or lipstick), a Pointed Foundation Brush, a Buffing Brush and a Contour Brush. You can buy these here.

I bought both my Real Techniques brush sets from Boots, as currently they have a buy one get one half price offer on. So instead of me paying £43.98, I paid £32.98, the same price for both on Amazon but with Advantage Card Points!

5) New York Eau de Parfum 50ml - This was bought from Next for £8! I bought it after trying the tester. You can buy it here.

Lipsy Cornelli Mesh Dress in Raspberry
I picked this dress up originally when I was in Leeds for Leeds Festival last week in a size 10. However when I tried it on, I found that it didn't fit and I couldn't actually breathe in it! So on my trip to my local Next Clearance to notice the exact same dress in the same colour in one size up was amazing! I am so happy I found this because you can hardly find it online, especially for £27.50! However, it is available to buy from Asos for £38.50.

Lipsy Knot Front Peplum Top in Mint Green
As soon as I saw this top, I thought that it was beautiful and I had to have it. You can buy this top in limited sizes from Bank for a limited time only. I picked this beauty up for £17.50 in my local Next Clearance.

Lipsy Lace Front Cowl Back Blouse
I had wanted this blouse for absolutely ages and there is no doubt about it. When I saw it in Next Clearance for £15.20 I couldn't resist! Unfortunately this is no longer available to buy online.

Next Essentials Textured Peplum Top in Grey
I saw this top in Next Clearance in Leeds and instantly fell in love with this casual but feminine top, especially for only £6! It's a great alternative to just wearing a t-shirt. They may still have these available here.

Next Rose Gold Skinny Strap Sports Watch
As I was browsing through my Next Directory, I saw this beautiful watch and had to have it. I am an absolute sucker for rose gold, and have not owned a watch in a very long time! You can pick one up for £15!

Boohoo Louisa Suedette Cross Strap Wedges
When these arrived at my house and I tried them on, I was unsure whether to keep them. My 'tall' height of 5'7" makes me pretty self conscious in heels, as if I look like a giraffe, or something along those lines. But then I decided, I don't really care if I look too tall in them, I love them and I'm keeping them! If you too are a fan of these beautiful shoes, you can purchase them for £18.

Ciaté Pepperminty Nail Polish

Ciaté Pepperminty Paint Pot

Now it is no secret that I am a lover of nail polish. When I saw this Ciaté polish on a stand in Fortnum and Mason, I just had to have it. With Ciaté's classic bow design and curved bottle for ease of application whilst holding the bottle, this polish is irresistible.

There were many colours to choose from, but I instantly fell in love with Pepperminty. It is a gorgeous minty blue colour, similar to Fortnum and Mason's colours.

The brush makes the polish easy to apply, and I applied two coats to achieve the colour you can see through the bottle.

I must say, I am in love with Ciaté nail polish and I will certainly be purchasing more in different colours.

You can buy Pepperminty for £9, 13.5ml bottle, and currently if you sign up to their newsletter you can get 10% off your next order!

The Liebster Award

Hello everyone! I was nominated by Chloe from thriftyskies for the Liebster Award. This is an award for bloggers with under 200 followers so that people discover different blogs :)

The Rules:
1) You must link back to the person that has nominated you
2) You must answer the 11 Liebster questions given to you by the nominee before you
3) You must pick 11 bloggers with under 200 followers to be nominated for the award
4) You must come up with 11 questions for your nominees to answer
5) You must go to your nominees blogs and notify them

1) You are only allowed to use one beauty product for the rest of your life - What is it?
This was not very hard for me to decide whatsoever! It has to be mascara. I hardly ever go anywhere without it and it just makes you look so much more awake, as well as looking like you've made an effort.

2) Where is your favourite holiday destination?
I'd have to say Spain/the Balearic Islands. I especially love Alcudia, for the beach. I love going abroad because even though it is hot it's not humid like it is here in the UK!

3) What is your favourite music album right now?
1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours by Green Day. They're my favourite band and I've been listening to their first album so much recently. This is closely followed by Lost at Seventeen by Emily's Army!

4) What was your first ever make up product you owned?
My first ever make up product was a Mary Kate and Ashley lip gloss in a sparkly pink colour! I remember buying it, from my local Asda supermarket. I think I wore it to a few school disco's, along with my purple Groovy Chick mascara. Cringe!

5) What made you start blogging?
I'd wanted to start a blog for ages after reading through many blogs and watching loads of Youtubers! I then found out my friend wanted to start one too and we began alongside each other, it's really fun to have a friend that is interested in what you're interested in!

6) Where do you want to be in 10 years time?
I would like to be married, to be a qualified midwife working in the NHS and have a successful blog. That would be perfect.

7) Where is your favourite place to shop?
I would have to say Next as I love their clothes, shoes and bags! Boohoo comes in a close second though!

8) What is your favourite movie?
My favourite movie is Love Actually. It has been my favourite for as long as I can remember, when I was around 10 years old I used to watch it every other day, if I was happy, sad, poorly or tired. All the time.

9) What is your favourite type of clothing?
I absolutely love skirts and dresses. I feel myself in them, I feel feminine, I feel confident. Even though I wear jeans quite a lot I don't feel as if I am dressing like myself in them and would much rather put on a nice skirt or a nice dress to feel a lot better about what I am wearing.

10) Cats or Dogs?
This is such a difficult question! I know this is going to sound ever so strange but I'd prefer a dog as a pet (I've had 2 pet dogs when I was younger) and I prefer when I visit people that they have cats. Am I strange? Perhaps. They are both so cute!

11) One random fact about yourself?
I am allergic to cinnamon, and whenever anyone finds out about this I get told that it's a shame because cinnamon is so lovely, especially at Christmas time! Thanks guys, haha!

Bloggers I have nominated for this award:
1) Glittery Teacups
2) Natalie's World
3) Charpee-Charpee
4) Effie
5) Holly Dolly Beauty Blogger
6) Emily Allcott
7) Everything & Anything
8) The World According To Katie Blossom
9) Nicola Louise Beauty
10) My Petite Closet
11) Scribbles of Emily

Questions for my nominees:
1) When and why did you decide to start blogging?
2) What is your favourite drugstore/high street beauty brand and favourite high end beauty brand?
3) What is your favourite season?
4) If you could only wear one colour of lipstick for the rest of your life what would it be and why?
5) Who are your favourite YouTubers or Bloggers?
6) What are your favourite type of shoes to wear?
7) Who is your favourite music artist?
8) Would you rather not be able to wash your hair for a week or not be able to wear make up for a week?
9) Where is your dream holiday destination?
10) What is your favourite thing about blogging?
11) Lipstick or Lip gloss?

Max Factor Clump Defy Waterproof Mascara

As I went on holiday earlier this month, before I went I decided to look for a good waterproof mascara, to wear on the beach and in the pool. I decided to try Max Factor's new Clump Defy Water Resistant Mascara while shopping with my friend Chloe, rather than sticking to Maybelline The Volum' Express Colossal Mascara waterproof mascara that I have used for years.
Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara

Max Factor Clump Defy Waterproof Mascara

The packaging looked great, and I had read some brilliant reviews about the original Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara.

The first few days of my holiday I wore it and loved it. It didn't clump, it made my lashes voluminous and certainly didn't clump.

However, when I finally set foot in the pool after half the week, water splashed near my eyes and the mascara completely came off! I was really disappointed, as it was nowhere near waterproof!

On that note, if you are looking for a waterproof mascara that will stay on near water, I wouldn't choose this! For a water resistant mascara I will definitely stick to what I know next time! :)
